If you haven’t yet met Beth and Ben of The Bookshop Band, this year’s BridLit festival relishes in presenting a rare treat for you! The pair take bookishness to a new realm – using music.
Capturing the essence of our beloved stories, The Bookshop Band pay tribute to the feeling, meaning, and most memorable moments of wondrous books ranging all the way from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland to Philip Pullman’s Book of Dust.
Composing each song shortly after finishing each book, their music is a unique celebration of literature and how it inspires our marvellous capacity for imagination. Visiting from Wigtown, renowned as Scotland’s Book Town, Beth and Ben will be taking to the stage in Sladers Yard for a beautiful, soulful, enchanting and funny live performance. They’ve been commissioned by The V&A Museum, Radio 3 and The National Portrait Gallery, so finding them in Bridport is a treat indeed!
Book tickets for this event to experience something magical. Don’t miss it, it’s a rare find and a special performance close to the heart of every bookworm!
